Finca La Castaña was our first WWOOF destination, but not the last. If all our hosts would be like these hosts it would be the greatest travelling experiences. They made our first time on a finca amazing and we learned a lot more than we expected. The Finca they created with so much love is an oasis of diversity, full of interesting projects that they realised and their minds are full of new ones that they hope to realise in the future. Very creative and positive people with amazing cooking skills and planting,building and harvesting knowledge. The fact that they went the extra mile to make our experience even more interesting by taking us to the Teide mountain and having a lovely picnic on the way. It was lovely to just spend time with them, we felt welcomed and very well treated. They’re son is inheriting his fathers cooking experience and has made us some lovely vegetarian meals and we where all having breakfast, lunch and dinner together as a familly. It’s impossible not to instantly fall in love with their 3 australian shepherds that will greet you always at the gate, they are full of energy and love and always ready for a big hug.
